Continuing education on design and products is very important to us. When we first got into the landscape lighting business, we knew one thing was key to our success: education. That’s why we recently traveled to Escondido, California, to meet with other landscape lighting business owners from the East Coast to the West Coast. We came together to learn, share ideas, and improve our skills. One of the main things we focused on was fine-tuning our design knowledge.

During this event, we spent a lot of time learning about the best ways to place light fixtures in a landscape. I cannot stress enough how important fixture placement is when it comes to landscape lighting. The way lights are placed can make or break the entire look of a yard or garden. It can change the mood of a space, highlight beautiful features, or even make an area safer to walk in at night. Knowing where to put lights is one of the most crucial skills a landscape lighting designer can have.
